Slide-In Range Problem in Condo Remodel

Hi everyone,

I’m fixing up a condo.

We wanted to install a 30-inch slide-in electric range. But there is a metal electrical box sticking up from the concrete floor right in the middle of the range space. Because of that, the range can’t slide all the way back.

Because of where it's located, there is no wall behind the range. The wire comes up through the concrete slab.

GC suggested that it's unable to relocate or recess the box into the concrete.

If this was your flip, what would you do?

Has anyone had this problem before? What was the easiest and lowest-cost fix?

Thanks in advance for your help!
