How to negotiate with General Contractors for Rehab?

Hi Everyone,

I just got my first rehab home under contract and got a quote from a general contractor. I feel like it is a bit high and am definitely going to shop him, but any advice and counsel I can receive from dealing with General Contractors on how to save the most money/get the best deal would be great. Thanks!
