Replacing old bath Kohler fixtures to Moen

Hello,

I would like to replace my old Kohler bath fixtures (faucet,handle or temp regulator , shower head 馃毧 with Moen brand fixtures.).

I hope the old cartridge is still in tact or I probably may have to replace that as well.

Is that doable? How much can a plumber typically charge for this installation?

    @Peter Morgan your plumber will have to buy the whole shower assembly. The biggest issue is getting access to do the plumbing, so if you have an access hatch behind then it is easier. This is a several hour job for a plumber, so in the Chicago area I would probably pay around $600 to a licensed plumber in labor plus materials for this job. If I had one of my guys do it, I would probably come in at around $150-200 in labor.

    @Peter Morgan I鈥檓 not sure you鈥檒l be able to keep the cartridge and just replace the pieces with another brand. You may have to either replace the whole thing, or get a compatible Koehler model. It depends on how old that one is and how compatible a new model will be.

    Thank you Mike. What is the best way to get a compatible Kohler fixture? is there anyway I can get the existing model number,it will save the plumber an additional trip and he advised me to get the fixtures before he comes and installs it?
