Hello i have a recently remodeled 1960 Pier and Beam foundation house under contract that I would like to make my first rental property. The inspector said the crawl space under the house is very tight (approximately a foot maybe a little more). Will this cause very high maintenance costs as contractors won't like working under a house they can barely fit under or have access to certain areas? Is this a deal breaker?

My personal home has a low crawl space. When I call for HVAC work I specifically state that there is a tight crawl space and the tech needs to be small. Sometimes they listen, sometimes they send the 250# guy who checks the outside stuff that I already knew was ok and then I have to pay extra for a second tech to come to 'assist'. In 2 rental properties with plumbing issues I have to pull up the floor in the affected areas to get to the plumbing that was leaking. So, yes it will cost more. But if you just fixed everything all should be well for a while!
