Selling my townhouse in Colombia
My wife and I are selling a townhouse we own in Armenia, Colombia. It's in a Stratus 5 (upper-middle-class) gated community. We own it free-and-clear, have owned it for about 10 years and have been renting it out the whole time through an inmobiliaria (agency that manages rental properties). I'm a Hispanic American (U.S.) and my wife is Colombian.
We're selling it because we've gotten tired of dealing with the agency and the renters. We've never *lost* money on it, but we haven't made a ton of money either. If you buy it as an investor maybe you'll have more luck.
We're selling it for $750million pesos. It's a two-story. I say "townhouse" because it's attached to neighboring units, sort of like American townhouses. Ideally I would like to sell it to a Colombian or someone who is already familiar with Colombia and how things are there, or an investor who plans to rent it out.
If you're interested, send me a message, I'll provide photos, square footage, details, etc. My wife has family in Colombia who can handle the legal paperwork, if you like, ... or you can use your own person down there if you prefer. We own it free-and-clear, this will be an easy "for sale by owner" transaction. As far as money, we can receive pesos in Colombia or dollars in the U.S., whatever works best for everyone.
