Hello all,

I'm looking for a commercial brokerage in the Detroit area where I can hang my license and begin working as a multi-family agent.

A little about me: I passed the Michigan real estate sales person exam, have my license and currently work full time as a Welder. Over the past few years I have spent significant time learning about multi-family investing and I am still continuing my education in the subject. Including in underwriting, deal structure and market analysis.

I have spent a great deal of time trying to find off market leads throughout the state through direct outreach. Some of these conversations lead down the path of getting pricing, NOI, operating expenses, and exit strategies that worked best for each of the owners. I also assisted in getting a 4-unit property in a strong Grand Rapids neighborhood to the closing table.

My focus would be on 2-40 door assets while working in a secondary market. I would start building relationships and a strong pipeline before relocating into the Detroit metro area.

I am very motivated, competitive, eager to learn and goal oriented. I'm willing to work and grind to get to a full time career as an agent. I also have learned a lot about syndications through reading a few different books. They are very interesting and something that I would love to learn more about as I progress my career. 

If anyone has any recommendations for brokerages in the Detroit area that are bringing on new Multi-family agents, I would greatly appreciate the insight. I would also enjoy connecting to anyone currently working in the Michigan multi-family space!
