Hello all, I am currently trying to get into real estate and struggling to know where to start. One invest that I listen to said that he would not have been successful without his mentor, I would ask if there was anyone that would be able to mentor that you would consider mentoring myself. Thank you for considering and I hope I can work with someone to improve not only my life but theirs as well.
You don't need a mentor. Find a local group and go to their meet ups. Otherwise, start by figuring out what you want to do (long term rental, short term rental, flip). Be realistic about budgets, the amount of time you have and your risk tolerance. Talk to a bank or mortgage broker to find out what you can afford to borrow, what you'd need for a down payment (20%) and then start looking to see if there is anything in your price range.
