Why people choose led integrated light over light bulb light

Question

I considers very easy to replace the light bulb, instead of replacing entire led light.

That’s why I like installing lights that’s uses light bulbs.

What there is many people who love to install led integrated lights ?  Just out of curious

I personally don't. I make sure that the bulb is changeable. I find it crazy that people expect to find a matching replacement in a couple of years when the bulb dies.

I suspect the main reason people buy the integrated ones is that they are cheaper. I recently had some path lighting installed around my home and the fixtures with replaceable bulbs were $50, while the ones with integrated LEDs were around $20. Some of the cheap Chinese sites even had some for as little as $10.

Led bulbs in my experience fail way before the 7 or 8 years many of the manufacturers promise. I believe from my experience that the led bulbs last about the same amount of time as regular incandescent bulbs. One reason, I like (not love) these led light fixtures because they last longer. The one-piece led fixture lasts a solid 7 + years. The only upsides for the led bulbs is they cooler and they use less energy. But the led bulbs fail so often. Lastly, these led light fixtures are very easy to install and in most cases easier than incandescent or led bulb fixtures.

It really kind of drives me nuts to replace a tenant fixable problem with a problem that requires a maintenance visit. However, to get the lumens that I consider to be required for acceptable lighting in the kitchen there isn't (for a price that I am willing to pay) anything available that looks nearly as good as led ultra thin recessed lights; thin recessed leds are cheap, easy to install, and **claim** to be good for 5 years. Usually I'll install 4 or 5, 4 inch lights (3000-3500 lumens) in a kitchen so if one goes bad it's not an emergency. Everywhere else we strive to use replaceable bulbs. We use a lot of (led) g9 bulb vanity fixtures and porch fixtures.
