Any recommendations on a real estate lawyer in the Portland/Beaverton, Oregon area that can take a look at my lease agreement to verify that I'm up to date on all clauses to protect myself? This will be my first rental home. Thank you for any insight!

Hi Gabby, congrats on your first rental—exciting step!

For reviewing your lease and making sure you're protected, I'd highly recommend Shawn Morgan, a Portland-based real estate attorney. He’s super knowledgeable on Oregon landlord-tenant law and really easy to work with. You can reach him here:

Also, for updated lease forms and ongoing support, these local landlord associations are great resources:

Each of them provides legally compliant lease templates, training, and legal updates tailored to Oregon landlords.

Hope that helps! Feel free to reach out if you need tips on tenant screening or getting your rental setup dialed in.

Hey there - Congrats on the rental home! I highly recommend checking out ezLandlordForm's Oregon Lease Agreement. It's compliant with state laws and includes all required clauses and disclosures. You can customize it as needed (add custom texts, addenda, etc) but it includes all required language. I also like that it has state assist tips as you build it that points out important landlord-tenant laws.

    Hope everything goes smoothly!
