I have a tenant that wants to pay rent with a debit card that is associated with her subsidized housing income. She would like it set up to automatically withdraw every 1st of the month. I have used sites such as Tenantcloud to have tenants set up online payments. However, this tenant is elderly and has no web experience. Is there a service where you can input a tenant's debit card information to collect rent? Obviously, I would have a signed addendum authorizing this. Any suggestions?

If it's an account that is going to be the same for a long period of time I'd just sit with her while she fills it out online and answer her questions as you go. She'll probably appreciate the care and service you're giving and you'll get to know that it was done the right way.

I don't see the problem here. The tenant wants to pay the rent automatically from their account. Perfect. I use Cozy and it can be set up to auto pay by the tenant using the app. Works great for me.

If there is an account number associated with the debit card you just enter it as an ACH transaction. I know for a paycheck version of this kind of card that was what we did.
