HI Guys,
I was thinking of renting out my condo rather than sell it. There is tons of property management companies in my area. Rather than choose 1 and hope they find a renter could I approach all of them and first one who finds me a qualified tenant gets the deal? Not sure if thats right to do or not? Thanks so much for the help
No because they charge for the costs of advertising when they find a tenant, so you would be paying all of them or if they are aware they will all rush to put a tenant in the property which may not be qualified.
@Aaron Klatt I agree with Aaron's 2nd point. Often the biggest complaint is quality of tenant that they place. Often these management firms have interested applicants from other properties recently listed. Be careful about rushing tenant placement, you're better off with a brief vacancy and a good quality tenant than rushed with a poor quality.
