I have a property and the hot water isn’t hot enough during showers. I wanted to send somebody over to assess the issue that I can trust and won’t charge me a million bucks just for investigating. Thanks!!
Sounds like something for a plumber not a handyman. It could be something a handyman can fix but if not you will be paying him and then paying a plumber too. Id just call the plumber first.
If it’s a tank type water heater have the tenant send you a picture of the temperature setting dial. DONT LET THEM TOUCH ANYTHING THOUGH. If it’s already at the max setting then you might have an issue. Have a plumber check it out. Otherwise just go over and turn it up one notch.
If it’s a tankless type it could just be the cold temperature. This will happen in winter months in this part of the country. Or it could be another issue. Either way I would get a plumber skilled with tankless water heaters to check it out. They have too many controls and working parts to mess with.
