The house i am renting is going up for live sale auction in 23days also there are repairs that have to be made. Landlord wants us to cont paying the rent. he states he can stop at any time.and that once rent is paid repairs will cont. When i asked for addendum it had nothing about stopping auction or repairs. We have a 3day writ in the lease so witholding rent in escrow not an option i need help

@Rebecca Wood I must be missing something..........why would you stop paying rent? Why do you need an addendum for continuing to pay rent. You have rights as a tenant and you have a lease? Check that out.

Depending on your state, your options are different. In Cali, some repairs have a deadline of how long a landlord has to do before it is considered an unreasonable amount of time. The landlord likely NEEDS your rent money in order to do the repairs since he is facing foreclosure.
