I've know we've previously discussed the pros and cons of vinyl wood plank flooring in other topics, as well as Trafficmaster Allure, but I've recently seen this new product at Home Depot Called Trafficmaster Allure Ultra. It's twice as thick as the regular Trafficmaster Allure but instead of glue snaps together. I realize it's a pretty new product and may not be cost effective ($2.99 square/ft), but it has a lifetime residential warranty. Curious if anyone has had an experience with it. I've been moving more towards vinyl wood plank flooring (instead of tile) down here in Texas because the soil moves so darn much, I need a floor with a little give.
I just got a rental with Allure back after a two year tenant. My wife commented that the floor looks good. Her standards are higher than mine, so it passed a pretty good test.
I recently installed mohawk luxury vinyl plank's (glue down)on my floors in my entire house. I had it installed by recommended professionals.I noticed during the process that they were not following the instructions. They did not acclimate the planks in my home for 48 hours. They did not use the right glue they used Vinyl composite glue instead of luxury vinyl plank pressure glue. They did not roll with a 100 pound weight roller. They did not leave the room untouched for 24 hours they immediately moved my furniture back in. I asked about all of these procedures and they said none of it was needed! However, i immediately began to notice planks all over my home that were popping up . I had this installed upstairs and downstairs upstairs being plywood flooring and downstairs being concrete. I am seeing this issue upstairs and downstairs. My question to you is , is this normal and they need to come back and reglue these planks? There's about 25 popping up and is it also normal for uneven plank joins this is a glue down tile or plank and not a snap plank. I am supposed to have a 15 year waranty....is it void if they don't install properly? At this point I want a full refund and a complete do over.
I've noticed some weird hubris in the floor install guys when it comes the vinyl planking products. A lot of them don't know these products that well. In my areas they tend to be wood floor installers but end up on these jobs because of the stores they contract with. There so much variety now in install and brands, the guys just don't have enough experience. They tend to treat the products as interchangeable.
There are vinyl planks with side adhesive strips, there are planks with full stick-on adhesive, there are planks that require full adhesive install (glue down), and vinyl planks with different sorts of click and lock mechanisms that float, with no adhesive.
Absolutely call asap. An improper prep and install usually negates the warranty. Hard to go after installers if they are freelance and have no money or assets.

They promise quite a bit, and then delivery on none of it. The main salesman there, a guy named Ken, sounds very competent over the phone BUT don't fall for the English accent!!
"Fast Floors" guaranteed delivery within a week; yet 3 days later they emailed to tell me the floors that I had ordered and paid for weren't even in stock. Totally killed a tight timeline.
Then, to make matters worse after cancelling the order. Its been 3 weeks and I'm still waiting for the refund. Awful customer service in every capacity. Phone calls, messages, and emails continue to go unanswered.

Nope - they don't accept credit cards! It was a bank wire. Stupid I know, but someone on BP had recommended them years ago so I didn't think it was an issue. That's why I'm posting this. It IS an issue. They are NOT to be trusted. I believe I'll get my money back, its just a matter of how long that takes....
