Rent to own..................................................

How does Rent to Own work, if I bought a house for 165k, the prospective tenant says only can pay 1K a month for rent to own.  How do I put the numbers together to make it work and get profit.  Also how does the normal credit history and all that play into this.  Thank you

Please don't go to those two sites for your knowledge base.  There are so many errors and misconceptions on it I stopped reading them halfway through.  Oops.  My mistake.  I should have read all the way through.  The first one, that talks about Lease Option as a "scam", is a scam itself.  It blasts LO's so it can sell you on its own program.  Shame, shame.

I see you added value to the postings with a completely articulate set of topics on how valuable the Rent to Own concept is....or isn't.  Oh wait, my bad.  You really didn't say anything. I happen to believe that if one goes to the interweb for simple answers from complete strangers to complex issues that require vetting and contracts, they're already in trouble....or they can read for themselves and get somewhat of an understanding of what they don't know.

While you're doing internet research, you might want to do some on this site.  You'll find that I "articulated" quite a lot of details already.
