Wanted to get input and recommendations for vacation rental property manager in or around the McGaheysville/Harrisonburg, VA area. We are considering purchasing a home near the Massanutten area to be for short term (Airbnb, VRBO) rental and would like a local manager for coordination of maintenance and cleaning and be a local contact. However not looking for a full service management firm which would charge 25%+. Have looked into Evolve as an option.

25% of gross ouch! Most of us VR owners on BP self manage remotely for exactly that reason. I do think @Chuck Kramer is an exception. Is there a reason you don't want to self manage? Why give away such a large % of your profit to someone else who essentially is a scheduler? Self management can be done remotely with the right systems in place.

Totally agree Brian, we are not considering the full service management firms which handle every aspect of the property. We plan to manage the bookings ourselves, but definitely want some quality and dependable local resources. That is what I was hoping the BiggerPockets community could help with either contacts or ideas.
