Quick question. The area in front of the property, Are we able to modify the patch of grass that is between the sidewalk and the street like putting in pebbles in place of the grass? Thanks

Is it a single family home? Is the property within an HOA? If so, you will need to get permission to alter the landscaping. If not, then replacing the grass with something zero maintenance is probably a good idea.

This 100% depends on your location. That area is usually owned by the City. You need to find out who owns it, who is responsible for it, and what can be done with it. Even if you own it, you may be prevented from altering it.
