I just bought a half duplex and want to waterproof the basement. However, the other side is abandoned and unsecured. The basement of the other half is completely molded and needs gutted. I can't properly waterproof my basement without having theirs waterproofed as well. I want to reach out to the other owner and purchase that side so I can resolve this issue. What's the best way to find most up to date contact information of the owner? County records show it as her primary residence but she is obviously not living there anymore.
I have been using AgentPro247.com and sometimes that gives me information. Otherwise you can ask a Title Company to pull whatever information they have. The Title Rep might do it for free if a Realtor asks for it.
If they left the home and it is in disarray it is likely they haven't' updated the county. Might be worth checking with the treasure about where tax bills are going or if it will be a county tax sale shortly. Can also try sending a letter to the house and let it be forwarded is she has a forward with the postal service.
@Allen L. Just search the tax records. Google tax assessors office. Most places have online resources where you can search for tax records which will list the owner.
@Account Closed I know how to search county records but I need the contact info, ie current address or phone number of the owner (who lists the half duplex as their primary). She had been paying taxes on time so far…
@Allen L. Download an app called driving for dollars. You get 5 searches free. It doesn’t always pull phone numbers, but sometimes it will. Deal machine does the same.
