Hello,
There is a room in my recent home (@ Livermore, CA) that I bought that has a window, and closet but it is not listed as a bedroom as there is no door. I will be adding a door and I would like to get it officially changed to a bedroom so that records on zillow/redfin/realtor etc show that my home is a 4 bed instead of a 3 bed. How do I go about doing this?
I suggest going to the Livermore building permit center and ask them about getting it permitted and changed on the tax records. I have found them to be very helpful in answer questions. https://www.cityoflivermore.ne...
@Sam Reddy - Once you get the permit approved, I believe the Zillow and others pick that up or you would have to claim your listing in all of the places and update it. They allow you to update/override as an owner.
