Look for the best accountant for your situation and investments, not the closest. My accountant is in Ohio, and all communication anyway is by phone and pdf.
When I had a local accountant, I still never met with him, so where he/she is located is not relevant. That's of course assuming you don't take him a shoebox full of receipts.

Good response Ann, I have been focused on finding someone local but it makes sense to find the best accountant for what we are looking for. I figured it would be easier having someone local, but you are right, how often am I really going to see them.
