Hello, It's my first post!
My daughter and her boyfriend are looking to live in the Pittsburgh area for a couple years. They have done their research and are excited about the city. I thought it would be a great opportunity for my first investment property. I would love anyone's thoughts on the market and any Broker or Wholesaler contacts in that area. Ideally I would be looking for a 3+ bed that they could essentially house hack. I am open to fixing something up too because I am planning on holding the property for renting long after they leave.

Pittsburgh is an interesting real estate market. There are plenty of opportunities to buy a multi unit property in a good neighborhood. Attending a RE Investor meeting is always a good idea in a new place, so agree with @Josh Caldwell, great way to meet people who can help you.
@Jack Macioce all of our meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of the month, which happens to be tomorrow. We meet at 3579 Masonic Way, Pittsburgh PA 15237 at 6pm for networking, and the main meeting starts at 7. Come as my guest and we can get you an application at the meeting.

Josh Caldwell I am also interested in investing in the Pittsburgh multi-family market. Already have 2 investment town-houses. How can I come to the meeting as your guest ?

I saw that you just signed into our free newsletter that will tell you where and when we have meetings. Our main meeting is the 3rd Tuesday of the month, in Ross Twp in the North Hills. The address is 3579 Masonic Way, Pittsburgh PA 15237 It is right off of cemetery lane, and maybe 1/4 mile from Rt 279. All first time guests are free.
