Hello I am looking for an accountant with real estate investment experience, preferably in Pennsylvania, as that is where I pay my taxes. :-) I currently work overseas, and own two investment properties out of state, and pay tax to Pennsylvania as non-resident filer. I am looking to eventually invest in properties in Pennsylvania, but at the moment I need an accountant to help me make sure my paperwork, business, and accounts are all set up correctly.
Can anyone recommend an accountant who is also willing to work with remote clients?
Take a look at John Hyre CPA Most of his clients are done remotely. He is also a real estate investor. You can look him up on the internet and see what you think. I've been using him for a long time.
Thanks, @Mark Kuster . I'll look him up.
I would think most accountants will be willing to work with remote clients. What's potentially tricky for you is the fact that you are overseas. That can raise some tricky issues depending on where you are.
For example, I generate income in both the United States and another country. That can raise a lot of interesting (and infuriating) tax issues and I had to spend a lot of time trying to find a solution that works. So depending on your situation, you may want to find a CPA that has experience working with clients in similar situations.
