Hi all, I'm curious if any of you have recommendations for a business attorney and an accountant in the Central PA area. I've been displeased with an attorney I've been working with and was hoping some of you could recommend someone knowledgeable and responsible. I'm looking for someone around the Harrisburg, Williamsport, Bloomsburg, area.

We use Hostetter and Hostetter for our accounting, they are out of Lancaster but I'm sure they'd be willing to work with you. Chris Ployd is our actual accountant for 5 years now. I always say that I'm sure there are real estate accountants in the country that find ways to save a couple extra dollars --- but they are fair, reasonably priced, responsive, and think through all the different options with us as we grow. I've been buried in taxes and other matters for weeks. Not sure if you found your contacts, but I would note Harrisburg is a very different legal market from Williamsport/Bloomsburg. Depending on your legal needs (and how much you want to pay), you may want to use two separate lawyers.

thank you @Chris K. We are discovering how different the markets are from a legal and tax perspective. Your advice is helpful and may explain why one attorney who was originally willing to help us backed away when we were in another market. There wasn't much of an explanation at the time - we thought it might have simply been distance but not realize there may have been more to that answer. If you happen to have referrals in those areas, please do let us know either here or in a private e-mail. Thank you for your help.
