Im looking to get my real estate license here in Pennsylvania. I've looked online but every things so vague. Is there any recommendations on where to get your license from? Online or in Person?
I am taking my RE exam for PA next month. I took my courses on Real Estate Express. I found that the site and coursework was very easy to follow and they had excellent customer service. That being said it required a lot of reading and they had very little actual lecture videos so if you are someone that prefers listening to lectures instead you might want to look at other options. I have been using the practice exams provided on the RE express courses as well as PREP agent videos on YouTube to prepare. I have found that the webinars and videos on YouTube by PREP Agent have helped me tremendously in understanding the concepts better. It also helps because you can listen to the videos while you are driving or doing the dishes, etc as opposed to RE Express where you need to sit down and read the slides. I enjoyed RE express but I would definitely look at your other options if you are someone that prefers to watch lectures. @Alex Critcher What area are you from? I took my classes in the beginning of the year and it was an amazing experience and networking opportunity I think the online version lacks.
The classes were located in the burbs North of Philly.
I have not taken my exam yet though as past three scheduled have been canceled. A classmate did take hers this week though so I’m guessing they’re finally opening back up.
@ronaldgrams Im currently in Las Vegas but relocating to the western side of Pennsylvania. Closer to Pittsburgh. Right now the online one I just signed up for is Real Estate Express.
@Alex Critcher update on this, I passed my RE test on Monday. I used RE Express as I said above. They definitely supply you with a lot of information but listening to the webinars on youtube by Prep Agent helped me a ton. I highly recommend listening to a few of those videos when you start studying for the exam.
@Alex Critcher The Kaplan online course was perfect. The flow was clear and the material was in depth. If you use them, I recommend buying the exam prep course. It gives you a thorough review of all the national and state laws and regulations. Pay close attention to the state part as you prepare. This is usually the more difficult of the two.
Once you pass the Kaplan exams, of course, you'll need to sign up for the state and national exam through PSI. PSI is a third-party test proctor that the state of PA uses.
