The BiggerPockets family in Evansville continues to grow and grow. Let's get together and connect! It looks like December 9-15 may be the best week before the end of the year. If you are interested reply to this thread with days/times that week that would work for you. I will work to accommodate everyone's schedule.
Hi @Cody Duff. I was just writing to see if you there is any plan to try a Zoom meet-up in the future for the Ohio Valley Real Estate Club. I am a rental property investor in Evansville along with my brother who currently lives in Evansville. I would of course love to attend one of the meet-ups in person, but since I am currently living overseas that is not feasible. I know that many of the different meet-up groups in the US have recently started trying out virtual meetings due to the lockdown and if there is any possibility to have one of the meet-ups virtually it might be a good way to connect with additional investors like myself that aren't able to attend in person for a variety of reasons. Just a thought and please do let me know if you think this might be an option in the future. Thanks!

I'd love to meet up if I can but my schedule is to hectic and changes from day to day, so once you set a time I'll mark it on the calendar and try my best to keep it open. Thanks so much for arranging this- I'm excited!

Ok! Thinking December 14. Would everyone prefer a coffeeshop or bar meet up? We could meet at Proper or Starbucks for coffee. We could meet in the evening at Fidel's or Pangea for a drink. Thoughts?

@Ryan Peach I have a family event in the evening of the 14th. So I could do Thursday evening or Friday through the afternoon. I'm indifferent on location, as I enjoy all types of beverages.
Regardless, looking forward to (hopefully) meeting you and some other investors in Eville.

Let's kick it to the following week 17-21. Let's do an evening event at Fidels which is only open Th-Saturday. How does Thursday the 20th at 8PM sound?

Our timing couldn't be better! Fidel's is having a Private Barrel Release of Elijah Craig that night. It begins at 5:30 so we will arrive at the perfect time! See everyone at 8:00 and please please please invite (drag along) any others you know involved in any area of real estate investing. I put one on back in the Fall/Winter. It's simple. Pick and date/time/place. That's pretty much it. We went to Fidel's in downtown Evansville. The event lasted roughly 2 hours. Everyone paid for their own drinks and food. It just gave local real estate minds an opportunity to get to know each other. I would be up for another one!

@Lynne Demond, we meet on the second Tuesday of every month. There is a Meetup group for the events. Lookup "Ohio Valley Real Estate Investment Club" on meetup.com.

Hey @Don Owens, our group tried a zoom meeting for the last two monthly sessions and I think the turnout was very low. Because of the nature of a virtual meeting being one person speaks at a time to everyone, I don't know if it will ever be something the group does once we're all able to meet in person (unless there is no other option). What I suggest is to join the our meetup's facebook group, since that seems to be where we're most active, and start connecting with us. Maybe you'll find somebody who will Zoom you on their laptop so you can talk with some of the members face-to-face.
