Good evening! I'm looking for a REI club near Des Moines.
A little about my experience.
By profession, I'm a Terminal Manager for a large National LTL carrier but I've always been passionate about real estate and development.
Over the past several years I've done 2 single family flips, 2 new construction builds and 2 buy and holds. After dabbling around i've decided to pursue multifamily mostly for the ability to generate greater passive income. This is the primary reason for seeking a club. I only know 2 other investors personally and neither is involved in multifamily beyond 2 units.
If anyone knows of a club or someone who knows multifamily and would like a free cup of coffee let me know! Thanks in advance!
I live out in Denver, Co but grew up and invest in the Des Moines, IA area from time to time. If I remember correctly there is a meetup every 3rd Thursday @ 6pm at the Caribou Coffee off Ingersoll in Des Moines.
I don't frequent them to often since I'm out in Denver, but whenever I'm in Des Moines 2-4x a year I try to attend some of the local REI meetings. Hope that helps!

I am wondering if you ever found an REI club in the Des Moines area? I am new to BP/REI and am trying to learn as much as possible with the intention of looking for my first property in the next couple of months. Of course I'm reading/watching webinars/listening to podcasts all the time but would greatly benefit from listening to/talking to others in person. If you could let me know if you found a club and what the details are I would appreciate it!
There is a BP meet up tomorrow as mentioned by @Austin Faux at the Caribou Coffee at: 3220 Ingersoll Ave, Des Moines, IA 50312 starting around 6pm. It is free to come to and there are some good people that come through to talk with.
@Mitch Seiberling, come by and start asking questions. You will find out who knows about the things you are looking to learn about. I'll be there if you want to come by. Last month we sat outside and may do the same if the weather is nice.
Thanks for the information @Terry Mclain. I wasn't able to make the last one but can I assume you all will be meeting in the same place/time on Nov. 17 (someone earlier in the thread mentioned this happened every 3rd Thursday I think)? Thanks!

We have been searching for a new spot that would better accommodate the meeting but for this month we will be going back to Ingersoll Tap. See below for the location info. I will bring along a sign that says Bigger Pockets Meet Up and place it at our table/area.
