I live in Chicago but am closing on my first duplex (and first property in general) in 44109 by the end of this month, hopefully. I'm hoping to learn a ton with this first property and scale into more properties as my knowledge base grows.
Given I'm an OOS investor, I'm interested in making connections with people familiar with real estate investing in the Cleveland area. Please feel free to drop a note if you'd like to connect!
Separately, does anyone have any recommendations for Cleveland-based real estate investor groups/associations? Would love to join one of these groups to meet more people and grow my network further. I really appreciate any insight anybody is able to provide.

Hi Griffin and welcome to Cleveland Real Estate!
I'm am also a newer investor. I did one house flip several years ago, and I currently owner occupy a double here in Lakewood, which borders Cleveland to the west. I'm looking to grow my portfolio as well.
As far as associations go, I have attended a number of Great Lakes REIA meetings over the years in person and recently online. They have had some great content lately, and quite a few members who have been doing this for a while. There is also a newer association that I've seen on meetup called the Greater Cleveland REIA, but I don't have any experience with them. I think it's run by a local wholesaler.
I am also a Realtor, and I happen to love living in Cleveland. If you have any questions about the city, places to go or see, or real estate please let me know.

Definitely would like to connect. I’m an OOS investor as well but I am from Cleveland originally. I plan on investing in the area individually and with some joint ventures. If you need any recommendations for a property manager send me a message or just want to know more about the area let me know.

Dunno if it's what you're looking for but there are 3 or 4 Cleveland investor groups on Facebook than range in member count from a couple hundred to around 8k.
