harris county zoning and permit

Hi All,

I saw a property, it's "state class code" is A1. So based on my understanding, this is for single family. But I saw there's 7 building on the property in hcad. Does this mean 6 of them are unpermitted?

I tried to search about the zoning regulation but didn't get it. Is there any official document about this?

    Hi Zhang,

    What part of Harris County are you looking at? There are areas that overlap with the City of Houston or another City depending on location and if its in a MUD (Municipal Utility District) and/or ETJ. That will depend on development codes. There really isn't a zoning code for Harris County like most typical West and East coast states and cities code. The City of Tomball does have their own zoning code.
