"Following Pflugerville City Council approval in its regular meeting Tuesday, an Amazon fulfillment center is coming to town.
The council approved a $3.8 million economic development plan to improve infrastructure in the area where the center will be, just off East Pecan Street and a mile away from State Highway 130.
The center is expected to start operating in 2021, Amazon says, and will create 1,000 full-time jobs"
This plus the Tesla plant will alone create 6000 jobs, and likely 12k-15k new people moving to the area just as a result of the jobs directly, plus the associated services needed for those people (restaurants, gas stations, plumbers, dry cleaners, etc). Probably 25k people moving to the area as a result. That means probably 6k-7K houses. More people moving in = appreciation and rental demand!
