Real Estate Investing in the Netherlands and Vice Versa

Hi all! I've recently gotten serious about purchasing buy and hold multifamily units in the Greater Reading/Allentown area of PA. However, as I'm finally getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger on my first purchase, my day job is relocating me to the Netherlands. Albeit an exciting sales opportunity, I don't want to throw away the research I've done on local property, but I do, at the same time, want to begin learning about the Dutch real estate market. Has anyone done real estate investments in the Netherlands and could recommend a forum/meetup/information group to start networking with? Also, has anyone done investments in their local area from overseas? How does that affect financing? A huge thanks to anyone that will contribute!
