Hi everybody, I am relatively new to bigger pockets and was wondering if anyone knows of an investing club in pierce county washington. I am having a difficult time finding one in my area that isn't in Bellevue.

A big south King and Pierce County welcome. I'm also interested in getting involved in the south end. I could throw a rock and hit Bellevue but certain times of day I could drive to Olympia and back faster. Let me know what you find and I would love to crash the party!

Welcome to BiggerPockets! I assume you're talking about either REAPS or REIAWA? They both hold their main monthly meetings in Bellevue, but they also have Satellite meetings in different areas such as Tacoma or Fife (because their members are all over the place from Kitsap, Pierce, Snohomish counties and even further).
Your profile mentions that you are a real estate broker; I'm surprised that the monthly drive to Bellevue would bother you :-)

Thank you for the response and the welcome. I do have my brokers license but only got it to help me in my investing, not for a lot retail transactions. I will likely attend the meetings held in Bellevue, but just figured there were some further south too. I did a little more looking last night and was able to locate a few more. Thanks for the help!

FYI, the meeting on Monday the 8th in Fife is a networking/holiday party/charity drive. It will be a great chance for you to mingle with other local investors, eat some good food and have a lot of fun. Bring a bag of non-perishable food or unworn clothing and you can get in for just $5. I think they're limiting the number of attendees so you really need to pre-register at reapsweb.com. I'll be there, hope to see you guys too.

I'm going to give a little plug for REAPS here :-)
I've listened to BP Podcasts and other national speakers/gurus talk about their experience with REI Clubs, and I can tell you that it's definitely a different experience with REAPS. They are one of the largest, if not the largest, non-profit REI Clubs in the US. Some of the best mentors and learning experiences I've had came from there, including the poster right above me, Mr. Mike Sumsky.
I'm not sure what you guys are looking for in an REI Club, but some places are definitely worth the drive. I've attended several REI Clubs, BP events, Meetups, and other REI social events from Snohomish to Pierce County, and I can tell you that REAPS is probably the best bang for your buck. I still encourage you to try everything (regardless of what I or others may suggest, because we all have different preferences) at least once, keeping in mind that not every meeting is going to be a "hit", but it depends on what you make of it too.
Most REI Clubs also allow you to attend their monthly meetings for free if you have a guest pass (which you can get from any REAPS member), so don't worry about that big membership fee yet.
