Title says all - I'm currently investigating the Joliet and DeKalb areas as potential locations for my first investment property. As such, I would like to start forming relationships with some local RE agents with an investor mindset. If anyone knows anyone that they could recommend, please let me know!

I have a good friend that I use. I met him when I first moved to Illinois and he helped us find a rental home. Since then I have worked with him on every transaction I have done. Most recently I purchased 2 rentals in joliet. He knows the areas very well and has been working as a broker manager for well over ten years in the area. He is extremely successful with tons of repeat clients and referrals. If you would like his info, PM me and I would be happy to share it.

@Aaron Mikottis Did you end up buying in either Dekalb or Joliet? I've been investigating both those areas...looking to pull the trigger soon. I'm curious as to which direction you went and how it is working out.

@Patrick Mueller - I do not own any property yet. Had several deals fall through for various reasons. I am very much interested in Joliet, not so much DeKalb. I believe that there is a very strong rental market there with great job and population growth.

@Aaron Mikottis Interesting...with the influx of new students each year at NIU, I would find Dekalb to be a strong rental market as well. Albeit, tenants will be short term and have a high turnover in Dekalb.
