I’m originally from the Pilot Mountain area of NC but currently live and work in Nashville TN. The market here is out of control so I’m looking to do investing around Winston Salem, Rural Hall, Pfafftown, Mt Airy, Pilot Mountain areas of NC. I’m way more familiar with those areas and I already have some boots on the ground there (broker, agent, appraiser, general maintenance, some contractors). I’d like to meet some other investors in that area and create some partnerships if we have likeminded goals.
I'm a Wake Forest student in Winston-Salem. I'm looking to househack while still in college but I'd be open to other opportunities and being another "boot on the ground" in the area.
@Adam Barber We invest in Winston-Salem and Greensboro. We should be closing on our fourth house there today. We purchased 3 there earlier this year and we have tenanted them and set them us as lease options. Now we are in the middle of the refinance. Our goal was to get 24 houses there this year but with everything that happened with the virus, we decided to pull back and increase our reserves. We will probably end up getting 8-10 properties there this year.
@Adam Barber I live and invest in Greensboro, NC. Very familiar with the Winston Salem market and surrounding areas. Good luck on your search. Let me know if you need reliable contractors down the road. Winston is changing rapidly. Pay attention to the areas surrounding the new Wake Forest Innovation Quarter. Plenty of progress happening all around there. Especially once they build some bike paths and a foot bridge.
@Tristan S.i bought 2 of the properties through @Jason Coleman. He is a great realtor who knows the area well and can give you some good recommendations on properties. Also, @Rebecca Acer brought us a good deal and helped us get our first property in the Triad area. Then my partner's advertising helped us get out last deal there. I haven’t gotten on any wholesalers lists in the Triad area yet but I would like to get on some. Hint to any wholesalers.
@Adam Barber Hi Adam, I'm originally from the Triangle area, now living in northern Virginia and looking to invest in the Winston/Triad area. Just getting started and doing a lot of deal analysis right now.
