This week, Meta announced a $1.5 billion investment in El Paso, further cementing Texas as a global powerhouse in AI and innovation and creating thousands of jobs for hardworking Texans.

Meta, the company behind Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, is set to build a $1.5 billion AI data center in El Paso.

The facility will be constructed on a 1,083-acre plot of land west of U.S. Highway 54, following approval from the City of El Paso.

The Borderplex Alliance, an economic development agency, announced that the project will create nearly 2,000 jobs, with 1,800 positions for construction and 100 additional staff members to operate the center.
