Hello everyone I'm currently investing in Fayetteville North Carolina and needed advice on furnishing a potential rental when I'm not in the area to do so myself or furnishing an Airbnb for long distance investing. Some questions I have are
Is there a company who drops off and installs furniture with purchase ?
Do you guys know a company who can furnish the whole house for a cost?
Would I probably just have to pay someone I personally trust to decorate the house for an Airbnb, or rental of a furnished house?
I know someone who will furnish a property for you. Their fee typically ranges from $1500-$2000 and you can plan for about $10/sq ft. +/- ~$3. I’m sure there are some furniture stores that will deliver and setup but there will still be a lot of ancillary work left undone like decorations, bedding, curtains, kitchen ware, etc.
Little bit of warning towards long distance investing in Fayetteville...keep in mind that Fort Bragg is just about the only reason there is a population there (largest army base in the world??). Neither military nor a lawyer, but lease agreements for active duty military are different vs. a civilian and could result in a greater tenant turnover. More in-depth research could help, but you will likely not receive the standard two months additional rent if a tenant is given orders to relocate, while still having to compensate your property manager for finding a new tenant.
That being said, the Rooms To Go Outlet in Dunn, NC is just up US-95 with a huge warehouse full of discounted furniture. If you could get a property manager to make the drive for you, there are plenty of great deals for a rental.
