I own a duplex in Clermont, FL just outside of Orlando and initially wanted to split water meters between the two units, but the cost and amount of work were higher than expected. I still need a way to track each tenant’s water usage, so I’m considering the Moen Flo Smart Water Monitor. This normally would not be an issue but the cost of the water/sewer is extremely high in this area and specifically because the meter is a one inch, the costs are much higher than a normal 3/4 inch on a non-duplex.
Has anyone used this device or have another recommendation to monitor water usage?
Can anyone recommend a reliable plumber or handyman who could install it for me?

@Nelson Badillo, hope all is well. What type of meters are installed now? Most mechanical meters should be an easy change out or repair. Are these City owned meters? We have simple water meters that automatically log to a cloud database and generate a water bill directly to the tenant. Fair, accurate and low cost

@Nelson Badillo not sure if this worth the shot but we had a similar issue in a duplex that I managed in the past. Instead of installing a water meter, we used a method known as RUBS (Ratio Utility Billing System) and we wrote that as part of the lease as well.
