Hello All,
Hope everyone’s doing well! 👋
I’ve been thinking about this lately and figured I’d throw it out to the community…
As property managers and landlords, we all deal with the fun, the chaos, and the “did that really just happen?” moments. I’m always curious to learn what other people are doing, what’s working, and what’s not.
So here’s my question for today:
What’s one small tweak you made in your property management process that ended up making a huge difference?
Could be anything —
• A screening question you added
• A maintenance workflow that saved you headaches
• A tool/software feature you discovered
• Something you implemented with tenants that reduced calls
• Or even just something simple that improved your sanity 😅
I’ll start: For me, adding a required “hold fee” for out-of-state applicants dramatically cut down on last-minute drop-offs. Total game changer.
Looking forward to reading your wins, hacks, and surprises. Always love learning from everyone here!

@Srinivasa Subramanian I started screening upfront for number of vehicles and number and type of animals. My advertising of a quiet country location got a lot of people with a fleet of vehicles and a kennel of animals. 2 animals, 2 vehicles, no roosters.... For apartments It also eliminated apartment seekers with large animals and lots of vehicles.
