How do you use or wish AI to manage your property?

I recently set up OpenClaw to access my Airbnb listings/calendar and help me coordinate with cleaning crew and send them reminding for check out cleaning; automate listing/delisting; turn off/on smart home devices based on vacancy; create marketing material weekly; contact my handyman/plumber when guests report any issues, etc.

I'm wondering what are the other ways to use AI to automate and help you manage your properties? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Hi, Hsin-I!  That makes a lot of sense. I like the “approval first” approach, especially while the bot is still learning your preferences and judgment calls.

The orphan-day use case is really interesting because that is exactly the kind of small revenue leak that is easy to miss manually but could add up over time. Same with local events — that seems like an area where AI could eventually outperform standard platform pricing if it can learn which events actually move demand versus which ones just create noise.

For reporting, I’d be interested in anything that shows operational drag, not just booking performance. For example:

• Orphan nights that were recovered vs. missed• Days blocked due to cleaning, maintenance, or owner/admin delay• Cleaning turnaround time by cleaner or unit• Guest issue themes that repeat across stays• Maintenance items that create booking risk• Revenue lost to avoidable blocked days• Upcoming risk alerts, like short gaps, low inquiry periods, local events, or delayed readiness

Airbnb gives useful booking and revenue data, but I think the gap is understanding what operational issues are quietly affecting revenue. This data is what I’d be most interested in seeing AI summarize weekly.

Hi, Hsin-I! This is a really interesting use case. I think AI has a lot of potential in property operations, especially when it is used to reduce the friction around vacancy, turns, maintenance, and communication. It looks like you have covered a lot of tasks/processes.  Maybe a weekly operating summary of all of your units would be helpful especially to see patterns and/or outliers.

Having been in the IT space for a majority of my career, the biggest thing I’d watch is approval control. I’d be comfortable letting AI draft, remind, organize, and flag issues, but I’d still want human approval before it changes pricing, sends sensitive messages, unlocks access, or commits money to repairs.

I’m very interested in this space because so much of property performance comes down to operational follow-through, not just acquisition.  Look forward to hearing how your experiments go.
