i hear they're good for blocking noise from upstairs apartment.

also, does anyone have any other tricks for reducing overall sound levels within an apartment? i am the landlord so i can do pretty much anything to the unit. thanks!

I would try carpet with a thick pad in the upstairs apartment. :o)

Well, acoustic panels are most for keeping noise in the apartment. If you have a unit without good sound-deadening properties, I don't think it'll help much.

Where is the noise from above unit or outside. If outside, you want want to address windows and door replacement.
