Hello all,
So I've been looking for some investors to team up with while I work on getting my RE license.
I recently came across Hometown Buyers Club, LLC that is hiring in Acquisition Agents. I spoke to two people from the company and it sounds very straightforward. Essentially, I'm talking to the distressed sellers, they're putting the name on the contracts and buying the house or assigning the contract. It's essentially JVing a deal.
However, they claim to have over 200 agents (licensed & unlicensed) and have been doing this for 3 years, but their online presence is very poor. I'm awaiting a link to their LinkedIn.
I have not. Tbh, I find it somewhat shady when a business is unwilling to verify their company and then subsequently ask me for my social security number. I could be being paranoid, but that's just me. So I will most likely continue my search and move forward with getting my RE license.
Yes As Of January of this year 2021 Hometome Buyers Club Is BBB Verified. They are Legal and Legit. They track record with the BBB is a A+. Check for yourself. But please note: wholesale real estate is not the same as regular real estate sales. (Wholesale) Real Estate No License Is Required. But yes look then up they are legit and registered with BBB
I signed up and everything! Did ya'll guys know that you have to pay for your own advertising/marketing, 1-800# etc., etc., you're coming out of pocket about a $1000. per month! Or MORE!
I thought that I applied for a JOB, for Acquisition Mgn! I didn't know I was signing up for this! It's like? I get hired, but I have to pay this, this and this, in order to work with us! Weird!
You'll be told that you'll get dozens of phone calls. Well that hasn't happened yet!
I'm going to give it a week. And if the hype to get me to do all of this, just drops to the ground, and I don't get any calls of contracts signed in a week. I'm cancelling everything, google ads facebook etc. and just chalk it up to as a loss and keep it movin...
Scott is a legit licensed real estate agent in PA. This position is legit and legal, just not for traditional real estate. This is how wholesaling is done. It's geared towards you having your own business instead of working for someone. Here you're working with someone. That's why you're paying for those things yourself.
As for advertising (google ads etc), he doesn't know how to do that correctly, so you will spend more than you need to but again, that form of advertising when done right, works very well.
