Here we go: I've sat on the pot long enough.

This blog will serve as my journey and journal for the world to see. I've had enough reading, planning and dreaming about being a real estate investor. I'm going to do it, hopefully without going belly up.

Well. Here we go. Here's my goal: Over the next 12 months I'm going to save up enough money to survive without working for 1 year. I'm going to do this by flipping homes.

I've had my real estate license for a while now, but haven't really used it. Recently I activated my real estate license and joined a broker. Prior to joining we discussed my goal and worked out an agreement between us. They'll help me make connections and analyze the deals, and in return I'll be compensating them once the property has been listed and sold.

Once I joined it became very clear to me that this was a good move. My broker introduced me to a private money lender and a lawyer. I have meetings set up with both of them this week.

Also, Somehow just this past weekend I ended up selling a home too. Not a huge commission but it's a start. I think it only cost me about 1 hour's worth of work.

More to come....
