My Real Estate Investment Story

From the time, I was very young, I moved a lot, over 50 times in my 35 years of life and that is not normal. One thing I can say about moving 50 something times is that you start to understand a lot about real estate. I started to take note of real estate as soon as I was old enough to realize how many times I had moved and how many properties we would have owned if we were buying them instead of renting. I also thought that it took a lot of money. We did not have a lot of money so it never was a realty in my life at that time. As I grew up and moved out on my own, I did not stop moving, but I did start buying instead of renting. I have moved much more as an adult than I did as a child. I have used my knowledge to invest in my own homes as I have moved so that I have never really made money but I never lost money on a move, even though most homes I owned for a short time. After a few moves, I decided to keep one of the homes after I moved out as a rental for other people that were in the position I was in earlier in life. It was then that I have realized that I knew a lot about real estate but I knew very little about REI. That property was the start of my real estate investment journey, or so I thought! That is the beginning of my story.
