One Rental At A Time Mindset

Hey friends, how are you doing? So it’s a nice day today and I thought I would just take some time to talk to you about what I’m hoping One Rental At a Time will become. I’m really starting to think that One Rental At a Time is actually a mindset, and it’s one that is a couple of folds.

First, I want it to be hopeful. It is something that I really hope busy professionals will see as a way to have a better financial future. I truly believe One Rental At a Time is a path to a better financial future. Could it lead to financial freedom? Absolutely. Heck, if all it does is lead to a better financial future, isn’t that good enough? I think the answer is yes. The other thing I struggle with is the pushback I receive from folks saying I’m not thinking big enough. One comment I often get is, “Hey, if one rental at a time is so great, why not 100?” Well yes, I get it. Bigger is better and I should expand my goals, but let’s be real. I’m trying to help

people go from zero to one, and I believe it’s a lot easier to have that conversation about what it takes to get the first one, maybe even the second or third. Talking to people about going from zero to one hundred just isn’t who I am.

Is it possible? Sure. There will be a hundred people across the U.S. to do exactly that this year. The first thing they buy is an apartment building, but there will be tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of investors that get their first rental home. Those are the people that I want to help. If you’re going to go from zero to one hundred there are a lot of people out there such as mastermind groups, and Grant Cardones and all these other folks that will say bigger is better, but I want to talk to the little guy. I want to talk to the person who I was 15 years ago, stressed out about family life working 60 hours a week on a plane all the time. I want you to know that you can get one rental at a time. If you just get one rental this year, and then one rental next year, and then one the year after that, you’ll be following the same path that we did in our journey. Through some luck and 15 years of time, we were able to find financial freedom.

That’s what I hope One Rental At a Time becomes: a hopeful mindset of taking action, being conservative, thinking longterm, and just getting after it.
