Why Stepping Into New Environments Is A Must

You should get out into new environments. The reason I say this is because I experienced the magic in a new environment! While in Miami for the 10X Growth Conference, I felt refreshed. I went from Chicago where it was like -40 degrees to Miami where it was 75 degrees and sunny. The weather got me out of my winter tiredness. I also didn’t feel constantly rushed. I was able to take a walk at night and just explore the city. While having these moments, this is where my clarity kicked in. Jo and I came up with so many ideas, including the podcast and business name change.

Being in a new environment not only promotes new thoughts and ideas, but new relationships too! When you’re in a new place you never know who you could meet. You could be meeting your next lender sitting right next to you on the plane.

If you can, I encourage you to hop on a plane and go to a new city! If you can’t just hop on a plane at moment’s notice, then you could also search for local sights you’ve never explored. For example, last summer Jo and I drove out to Starved Rock (about an hour and a half drive). Let me tell you… We felt SO refreshed after this (a little sore too, haha). You could apply this to going out to networking events, too.

The last thought I’d like to leave with you is N.E.W. This is the acronym for the year at my church (Faith Movers Church), which means Never Experienced Wonders. If you want to experience newness, then you have got to go where the NEW things are. This also means that you will not meet your spouse by sitting at home all the time.

Everything you’ve ever wanted is out there. Go get it!

Best wishes,

Jas
