Are You Going to Accomplish That Dream or Not?

There is one thing that separates people who accomplish their dreams from those that don’t…

What’s the difference between those that accomplish their dreams and those that don’t?

It all comes down to focus. Healthy, disciplined focus is the number one thing that separates people who accomplish their dreams from people who don’t.

So, that begs the question… How do you get more focused?

Well, I’ve found that there are three simple steps that anyone can take to get focused and remain focused in their life and career. It’s all about removing distractions and figuring out exactly what you need to be working on every day.

Step 1: Set a plan and stick to it.

Having a plan removes guesswork and ambiguity from your life. When everything is laid out in front of you, it becomes simple. All you need to do is follow the plan, and you’ll get to where you want to be.

So before you do anything else, you need to set a plan. Think about what you want to achieve and then break down the steps you need to take to get there. If you want to make more income, you need to get more prospects and close more deals. If you want to grow your business, you need more employees.

Once you have that plan, it becomes easy to hone in and focus on making progress.

If you’re doing something that isn’t directly related to your plan...you might want to reconsider how you’re spending your time!

Step 2: Clearly picture your dream in your mind.

Just like setting a plan, a clearly-defined dream gives you something concrete that you can work towards. The key is having a dream that you can label. Something that you can touch and clearly picture in your mind.

If you don’t have that, you’ll have no idea where you’re going—and, once again, you’ll never be able to focus. So, whatever your dream is, take some time to visualize exactly what it looks like and how you’ll feel when you achieve it. Then, you’ll always be able to come back to it and use it to guide your decisions.

Step 3: Continue to hold onto your vision.

Once you’ve pictured that dream, hold onto it. Because the truth is, you’re going to go through ups and downs in your life. Being able to harness the feeling of achieving your goal will get you through the inevitable down moments. And during the ups, you’ll need to be grateful that you’re able to push through, toward this dream.

You should enjoy the journey, but if you’re looking to achieve a dream, you’ll need to constantly fight for it.

So, are you focused in your life? Do you have what it takes to separate from the rest and achieve your dream?
