Best Ever Conference - Take Aways

As I reflect on our time at the Best Ever Conference this past weekend, I'm always pushed to come back to my take-aways. What inspired me? What did I learn? Who did I meet? Where do I want to be next year?

These an so many other things are swimming through my mind as I think back to this fun weekend with almost 700 active and diverse investors. So where am I pushing myself to next year. First, I want to grow our capital through my current network and expand from there. Second, I want to learn more about the syndication space and how this can bring more opportunities for niche market deals. Third, I want to explore niche markets including work force multifamily housing, storage units, mixed use space and of course... Chip's favorite mobile home parks.

So with that I'll share the Andre Reed of the Buffalo Bill's 3 Keys to being a Champion with you all:

1. Value Your Huddle: Make the most of your team. Realize your strengths and theirs and utilize them to the fullest. Execute the game plan and lead by influence not authority!

2. Know Your Role: Respect your leaders, mentors and coaches. Know that you can always learn more and be open to different thinking.

3. You Win Some, You Learn (Lose) Some: We all have failures, but only you can choose to grow from them. Every loss gives you an opportunity to be that much better the next time around. You just have to dust your butt off and get back out there.
