You Can't Do It All - Build a Power Team

You can’t do everything. Now it doesn’t matter if we’re talking about real estate investing or life in general. You can do so much, but you can’t do it all. Having a team is so key to your success. Leveraging a power team member’s time and resources can move your business forward incrementally.

So what do I need to do get the right people on my team? How do I find the right power team members? Here’s a quick process to take some of the guess work out of the process:

1. Get referrals from other real estate investors. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. If they’re happy with the individual, chances are they are doing their job and doing it well!

2. Send emails to 5 – 10 people or companies (can by realtors, property managers, etc.) In that email request information on their services, process and costs.

3. Evaluate the information you receive back. Don’t be surprised if you don’t hear back from several of them, you’ve already cut the fat.

4. Narrow down the list based on how the services and processes they provide align with your needs to grow your business.

5. Interview the top 2 – 3 candidates. See interview questions attached.

Remember these questions are just a baseline. Adjust the questions to fit your needs and your business to ensure the best results. I recommend that you make a list of what items/values are most important to you and your business. Then while interviewing ensure that the values of the individual/company aligns with you. This is your company and you want those working with you to be a quality fit. The more you like them the better your working relationship probably will be.

Best of Success, Andrea
