Testing My Real Estate Theory - Home Inspection

I'm not one for surprises so, to help us create the list of items that need to be fixed prior to putting my Boston North West home on the market, I called in a home inspector to do a "pre-list" home inspection.  You may think you know your home, but that isn't always the case.  It is better to find out about major issues and be able to deal with them prior to inspection or disclose them and price your.

We called on my favorite home inspector, Dennis Albrecht with ClearView Home Inspection.  We had him do an analysis of our Boston area house and run a radon test.  Radon is a funny issue.  It isn't expensive to fix (usually about $1,000) depending on the house, but it can be just one more thing that will throw the seller or the buyer over the bridge.  Dennis gave us a minimal list of items to get fixed before placing our on the market.
