Recycling Events in Fairfax County VA
Recycling has become more common as the need for us to live a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle comes to the forefront of everybody's minds. Northern Virginia encourages its residents to go green as well. There are several recycling events in Fairfax County VA that offer a chance for residents to bring in their old electronics, shred documents and get rid of household hazardous waste. The specific dates for these special recycling events are as follows:
Electric Sundays
Bring your old TVs, computers, keyboards, printers, external hard drives, fluorescent light tubes and other electronics that you wish to get rid of to one of the county's Electric Sundays. It's absolutely free of charge to dispose of these items here! You can go to the I66 Transfer Station (4618 W Ox Rd in Fairfax) or the I95 Landfill Complex (9850 Furnace Rd in Lorton) to bring in your old electronics.

Document Shredding

Household Hazardous Waste
If you have things like acids, aerosol sprays, auto fluids, cleaning products, propane tanks, paint and paint thinner, pool chemicals and other household poisons you need to get rid of, Fairfax County offers two sites to bring in your hazardous waste to dispose of them: I66 Transfer Station and I95 Landfill Complex. Sundays - Closed
