Carmel Valley

Carmel Valley is one of the newer neighborhoods in all of San Diego. This high-end, master-planned coastal community is in the northern portion of San Diego and is home to about 50,000 residents.
 
This upscale community is bordered by Encinitas and Rancho Santa Fe to the north, Torrey Pines and Mira Mesa to the south, Rancho Bernardo and Poway to the east, and by the beaches of Del Mar to the west. Interstate 5 and SR-56 serve as the major highways in and out of the community.

In this family-friendly community of Carmel Valley, there is a mix of condominiums, townhomes, and single-family homes for all types of buyers.  Condos and townhomes range in price from $200,000 to $650,000.  Single family homes range in price from $600,000 to $9,000,000.  There are many multi-million-dollar estates with gated communities. Since this is a relatively new community, the Carmel Valley homes in this region are more modern compared to the older established communities.

Besides the suburban housing developments, the award winning schools are a huge draw for young families.  Carmel Valley has three school districts which include Del Mar Union, Solana Beach and San Dieguito.  There are also several prestigious private schools in the area as well.

Sometimes called the sister-City of Del Mar, this thriving, dynamic community is a short distance from the Del Mar attractions, such as the Del Mar Race Track which is also home to the Annual and popular Del Mar Fair.  And of course, you have the beautiful beaches of Del Mar close by as well. This community is also close to the La Jolla beaches, and is just minutes away from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and the Torrey Pines State Park.

Easily accessible from Carmel Valley due to its proximity to Interstate 5 are the San Diego attractions of Balboa Park, the world famous San diego Zoo, Sea World, Downtown San Diego with his draw of the Gaslight District and all just 20 minutes away.

Besides the numerous corporate offices, hotels, shopping centers, restaurants and an abundance of nightlife located in this neighborhood, you will also find a plethora of parks for all your outdoor activities.
